Our Philosophy
We want Charlies Friends to be a place your pet wants to be. We believe in small play groups matching up personalities, play styles, age, and size. Other than rest period your pet will not be in a kennel but either out playing in one of our 3 play yards, 6 play rooms or for a walk in the woods geared towards their ability.
About Us
Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
I started Charlies Friends in April of 2000. My goal for Charlies Friends was for it to be a place your pup wanted to be. Whether they were here for daycare or overnight care they came bounding to the front door!
Your pup will play and romp with a small group of friends in one of our three outside play areas or in one of our five inside play rooms. We will match up your pup with friends who have similar play styles as well as by age and size.
One of our highlights of the day is our walks. Everyone gets out for a walk based on their ability. Our walks are anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours long in the 100 acres of woods adjacent to the kennel.
At night your pup can sleep in one of our 5'x6' heated indoor kennels. This is a great space if you are still working on crate training or if your pup simply likes their own space. If your pup is the type that feels more comfortable sleeping in a "home room" atmosphere they can sleep in one of our rooms such as the quiet room at no extra fee.

What sets us apart?
1. Our rural location. We are not in the city so the dogs are surrounded by trees, grass and lots of smells!
2. Our experience. Between my managers and myself we have over 50 years combined of working and caring for dogs. This does not include the rest of my staff who have all been with me for an extended period of time. For all of us at C.F. this is not just a job but our passion.
3. Small playgroups with 6 different inside areas as well as 5 outside areas to fit everyone's individual need and desires.
4. Cage free sleeping arrangements. We have kennels for those who prefer this sleeping arrangement but we also offer sleepovers in our rooms at no extra cost.
5. Once you become a Client you are always part of our family. This means we are always here to help and will always have room for your pup.
6. We are privately owned. There is no one telling us that we cannot make the best decisions for each individual pup because it is against the franchise agreement.
7. But the biggest thing that sets us apart is our walks. We offer three levels of walks either in our fields for our senior pups or in the 100 acres of woods adjacent to kennel. The walks last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours again depending on ability all for no extra fee.
